Business

In our program, students will explore the essential aspects of business organizations, from their purpose and structure to the environments in which they operate. The coursework dives into the crucial connection between innovation and business survival, helping students understand how businesses must evolve to meet the needs of well-informed, discerning customers. 

Throughout the unit, your child will gain a comprehensive understanding of how businesses are organized, how they communicate, and how external factors shape their activities and strategies. Additionally, students will examine the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving success and managing the risks involved. By the end of this unit, your child will be equipped with valuable business knowledge that can help them move into employment, vocational training, higher apprenticeships, or further education, providing a strong foundation for future success.

Graduation Pathway

  • The completion of 9th and 10th grade.
  • Transfer to BTEC for 11th and 12th grade.
  • Graduate and receive diploma.

Learners develop an understanding of how marketing research is conducted in order to
plan a marketing campaign.

  2. Explore approaches to product marketing nationally and internationally.
  3.  Develop a plan for a marketing campaign for a new product.

Overview

Learners develop the skills and knowledge required to analyse and interpret financial data, enabling them to assess the financial health of a business and suggest how its performance can be improved.

  1. Explore types of business finance available at different stages in the growth of a business.
  2. Understand how financial planning tools can be used to analyze financial data and assess business risks.
  3. Understand how financial statements for a sole trader are prepared and used to analyze and evaluate business performance.

Overview

Learners will work as part of a small group to plan, coordinate and manage a business or social enterprise event and evaluate the skills gained.
